Use the proper tooth count
Posted: 02/12/04
For any linear edge blade, a good rule of thumb is to make sure you are using the right tooth configuration. There should always be a minimum of three teeth in contact with the workpiece at all times. This ensures minimal blowout or chipping and extends the overall life of the blade. This rule applies to all linear edge blades including jig, reciprocating, scroll and band saw blades.
